Summary

In today's meeting, the agenda was the election of the committee chairperson and deputy chairperson of the committee.


Deputy Director of Legal Affairs Shiraza Naseer conducted the election of the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Committee.

North Kulhudhuffushi Constituency Member Mohamed Dawood proposed to elect Mathiveri Constituency Member Hassan Zareer as the Chairperson of the Committee. It was seconded by. North Mahchangolhi Constituency Member Ibrahim Muhammad. The proposal to elect Mathiveri Constituency Member Hassan Zareer as the Chairperson of the Committee was passed unanimously.

 

North Mahchangolhi Constituency Member Ibrahim Muhammad proposed to elect South Fuvahmulah Constituency Member Ibrahim Hussain as the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee. It was seconded by Vaikaradhoo Constituency Hussain Ziyad. Hence, the proposal to elect South Fuvahmulah Constituency Member Ibrahim Hussain as the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee was passed unanimously.

 

Then, the committee discussed a deadline for the committee to complete its work. Kendhikulhudhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Afoo Hamid proposed to complete the work by July 31, 2024. It was seconded by Maradhoo Constituency Member Ahmed Didi. (The motion was passed without a vote, as the members of the committee did not object to it.)
