The committee sat with the below mentioned from Ministry of Finance to discuss regarding the Financial and Economic state of the country.

3. Mohamed Azad, Accountant General
4. Fathimath Mohamed Didi, Debt Management Executive
5. Ahmed Zayan Mohamed, Economist

During the meeting, the committee discussed regarding government's debt and public expenditure along with the ministry's efforts to reduce these expenditures. The minister informed that in order to reduce the expenditures, the ministry would undertake reforms of state-owned companies, a plan on the order for PSIP projects to be commenced based on the availability and importance would be implemented and the government plans on the changes to be brought in the subsidies.

The ministry also informed that the implementation of the recommendations made by the ministry with the committee regarding increasing revenue will begin after the ministry's plans for reforms to reduce public expenditure are completed.
