In today’s meeting, privatization and corporatization board was summoned to clarify the information on its annual report for 2023 and the challenges faced in the board’s functioning. In this regard the members were briefed regarding the valuable work done by the board in the past year and the challenges faced by the board in carrying out the functioning. The committee decided to write to the board to clarify the information members wanted.
The committee allocated the 33 state-owned enterprises into 9 main sectors and decided to assign each sector to 9 individual sub-committees to review the issues related to those state-owned enterprises.
At last, the presented committee members unanimously agreed to summon Anti-Corruption Commission to the committee to clarify the issues investigated by the commission regarding state-owned enterprises and for actions to be taken to strengthen the companies, as proposed by south Fuvahmulah constituency member Ibrahim Hussain.
