Summary
In this meeting, the members were asked to propose any issues they would like to review in the committee. Dhiggaru Constituency member Ahmed Nazim proposed that Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has failed to achieve the the objectives outlined in the Maldives Monetary Authority Act in a situation where the country's economy was weakened to a point where it was difficult to recover and that the Monetary Policy does not appear to be functioning in it's best manner. Hence, he proposed to recommend to the President to the dismissal of Governor of Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) Ali Hashim from the post. This proposal was seconded by North Fuvahmulah Constituency member Hamad Abdulla. The voting details are below:
