Summary
In today’s meeting the committee reviewed the annual reports of the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority for the year 2022 and 2023. Kurendhoo constituency member Mauroof Zakir proposed to meet the authority for further clarifications and it was seconded by Hoarafushi constituency member Ali Moosa and was passed unanimously.
Secondly, committee reviewed performance report of the Capital Market Development Authority for the year 2022. Hoarafushi constituency member Ali Moosa proposed to send recommendations proposed by the Auditor General’s office regarding the report to CMDA and it was seconded by Central Mahchangolhi constituency member Ahmed Xamyr and was passed unanimously.
Lastly, committee discussed about the letter sent by the Ministry of Transport and civil aviation’s requesting for a meeting in reference to request sent by the committee to acquire further information about introduction of a taxi fleet by the government. Central Mahchangolhi constituency member Ahmed Xamyr proposed to meet the Ministry of Transport and civil aviation as per their request in relation to government’s decision to intoduce a taxi fleet and it was seconded by Kendhoo constituency member Mauroof Zakir and was passed unanimously.
