Summary

In today’s meeting, the Committee first discussed the previously parked sections (Section 4; Section 6 (b) (1); Section 13 (g), (i) and (j); and Section 25 (e)) of the Infrastructure Development and Planning bill in the second meeting of the joint Committee.

Central Mahchangolhi Member Ahmed Xamyr proposed and North Mahchangolhi Constituency Member Ibrahim Mohamed seconded to pass the provisions as submitted to the Committee without any further changes. Below are the voting details for this proposal. The Committee unanimously passed Section 4; Section 6 (b) (1); Section 13 (g), (i) and (j); and Section 25 (e) with no changes.

 

Next the committee passed the Infrastructure Development and Planning bill. Central Mahchangolhi Member Ahmed Xamyr proposed and North Henveyru Constituency Member Ahmed Aifan seconded to pass the bill in whole as reviewed by the committee. The Committee unanimously passed the Infrastructure Development and Planning bill.

 

After that the committee discussed passing the bill on Amendment of Decentralization Act (Act No: 7/2010) from the committee. North Henveyru Constituency Member Ahmed Aifan proposed, and Kudahuvadhoo Constituency Member Hussen Hameedh seconded to pass the bill as evaluated by the committee. The Committee unanimously passed the Bill on Amendment to Decentralization Act.
