Summary
In today’s meeting, the members reviewed petitions in the committee.
Firstly, the committee reviewed the petition seeking not to cancel the gazette list of flat owners published by the previous government under the Gedhoruveriya Scheme. After a lengthy debate, North Henveyru constituency member Ahmed Aifan proposed to finalize the works of the said petition, as per the information the committee received from the relevant authorities. This was seconded by Ugoofaaru constituency member Mohamed Shifaz and was passed by majority votes of the members present.
Moreover, North Henveyru constituency member Ahmed Aifan also proposed to notify the petitioner and the MP who sponsored the said petition about the conclusion of the committee with a letter. This was seconded by Madaveli constituency member Mohamed Shameez and was passed by majority votes of the members present.
Before wrapping up the meeting, the committee also reviewed petition objecting the decision of the Council on giving the north coast of B.Kudarikilu for building guest houses and decided to finalize the works of this petition, after meeting with the relevant officials of Ministry of Cities, Local Government and Public works and Local Government Authority.
