Summary

In today’s meeting, the committee discussed the issues submitted by Sh.Atoll Council and R. Alifushi Council.

After committee deliberated on the matter, North Henveyru Constituency Member Ahmed Aifan proposed to send a letter to both the councils to clarify the contradictions between “Urban Development Bill” and Law no: 7/2010 (Decentralization Act). This proposal was seconded by Central Mahchangolhi Constituency Member Ahmed Xamyr.

Next, the committee discussed on reviewing the “Urban Development Bill”. North Henveyru Constituency Member Ahmed Aifan proposed considering the comments made by the Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development regarding the comments from the public. Villingili Constituency Member Azim Abdul Aziz supported this proposal
