Summary
The first item on today’s agenda is to set the working quorum for the summoned meetings stipulated in section 184 (a) of the standing order of the People’s Majlis. Once the chair opened the floor for members, Central Maafannu Constituency Member Asma Rasheed proposed to set 7 members as the working quorum for such meetings as stipulated in section 184 (a) of the standing order of the People’s Majlis. It was seconded by Central Mahchangolhi Constituency Member Ahmed Xamyr.
The members present in the meeting unanimously passed the working quorum for the summoned meetings as 7 members.
As the second item on the agenda, the committee discussed an administrative procedure for approving other matters submitted to the committee apart from the issues submitted under section 172 (a) of the People’s Majlis. After discussing the matter, the chairman announced that the matter will be rescheduled for the next meeting, as there are certain things the committee needs to clarify from the secretariat.
