Summary
In this meeting, the Committee discussed the provisions of the amendment bill on Tobacco Control Act (Law No. 15/2010).
After much deliberation, West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to set 07th November 2024 as the deadline for the completion of the bill, and to give a five-day deadline for public comments on the bill and to meet with relevant officials of the Ministry of Health, Health Protection Agency and The Maldives Police Service to discuss the bill. South Thinadhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Alsan Ahmed supported the proposal. The proposal was passed unanimously.
