Summary

The first item on the agenda for the meeting today was to extend the deadline for the Bill on Amendment to Higher Education and Training Act (Act No. 7/2021). When the floor was opened, MP Hussain Sameer of Thoddhoo Constituency proposed and MP Azim Abdul Aziz of Villingili Constituency Member seconded to extend the bill’s deadline to November 30th, 2024. Following this, the Committee discussed about its mandate to review the Annual Reports of offices under its purview. MP Hussain Sameer of Thoddoo Constituency proposed, and MP Ibrahim Muhammad of North Mahchangolhi Constituency seconded, the proposal to review the Annual Reports of an additional two ministries on 12th November 2024 and 13th November 2024.
