In this regard, minister stated that the aim of introducing a taxi line is to address the traffic issues in the Male' region, to standardize taxi services within a controlled system. The minister also highlighted that there will be no restrictions on private companies/drivers to provide taxi services. The idea behind providing this service will be based on two scenarios where one is with permanent taxi drivers and the other is with part-time drivers, and it is unlikely that this service will cause any inconvenience to current taxi drivers. Furthermore, regarding parking issues minister stated that more parking buildings needs to be developed, and the government has allotted land for the vehicle used in this service.
