Summary

In this meeting, the committee deliberated on extending the deadline for the 'Urban Development Bill'. Hoarafushi Constituency Member Ali Moosa proposed and North Thinadhoo Constituency Member Saudulla Hilmy seconded to extend the deadline for the bill to 25th November 2024.

The proposal was passed unanimously by the Committee members present.


The committee then discussed the next steps for further reviewing the Urban Development Bill. Following the discussions, Ali Moosa, the Member for Hoarafushi Constituency, proposed a motion to forward the comments received from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to the Attorney General's Office for their review. The motion was seconded by Ibrahim Mohamed, the Member for North Mahchangolhi Constituency.

The proposal was passed unanimously by the Committee members present.
