Summary

Today's meeting was the first to extend the deadline for the 'Urban Development Bill'. Horafushi Constituency Member Ali Moosa proposed and North Thinadhoo Constituency Member Saudulla Hilmy seconded to extend the deadline for the bill until 25th November 2024.

After that, the committee deliberated on the next steps for the bill review. After the discussions, the Hoarafushi Constituency Member, Ali Moosa, proposed, and the North Mahchangolhi Constituency Member, Ibrahim Mohamed, seconded a motion to forward the comments received from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to the Attorney General's Office for their review.

Vote 2: To share the comments received on the bill with the Attorney Generals Office for their review.

Hence, the proposal to share the comments received on the bill with the Attorney Generals Office was unanimously passed.
