Summary
In today’s meeting, the Committee discussed the proposed amendments to the Tobacco Control Act (Law No. 15/2010).
West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Mustafa Ibrahim has proposed to summon members of the Ministry of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Male' City Council, Restaurant Association of Maldives, Tobacco Control Board and Maldives Police Service to the Committee and to extend the deadline for the bill until 21st November 2024. The proposal was seconded by North Galolhu Constituency Member Mohamed Ibrahim. The proposal was unanimously passed by the committee.
