Summary

During today's meeting, the committee discussed the process for proceeding with the bill on amendment to the Immigration Act (Act No. 1/2007). When the floor was opened to members, to expedite the work of the bill, Hulhudhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Shahid proposed, and Kelaa Constituency Member Abdulla Shareef seconded to amend the decision in the previous meeting and summon stakeholders of the bill to committee starting from 25th of November.


After that, the committee then discussed regarding the other issues in the committee. After discussions among the members, North Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Nazim proposed and Thulhaadhoo Constituency Member Abdul Hannan Aboobakuru seconded to summon Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan along with Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Mohamed Ameen to committee following an issue addressed to committee.
