Sub Committee of Public Accounts Committee's 08th meeting for the year 2024

Summary

In today’s meeting, the committee discussed the audit report of Auditor General’s Office for the year 2023 and decided to file the audit report as it was given an unqualified opinion by the audit firm, as proposed by Kelaa Constituency member Abdulla Shareef and seconded by Hanimaadhoo Constituency member Abdul Gafoor Moosa.


The audit reports of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 was discussed. The committee decided to send a report to the main committee with the issues highlighted in the audit reports along with the measures taken by them to correct the mentioned issues and the recommendations of the committee, as proposed by Funadhoo Constituency member Mohamed Mamdooh and seconded by Kelaa Constituency member Abdulla Shareef.


Furthermore, the audit reports of the Ministry of Higher Education for the years 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 was discussed. The committee decided to send a report to the main committee with the issues highlighted in the audit reports along with the measures taken by them to correct the mentioned issues and the recommendations of the committee, as proposed by Kelaa Constituency member Abdulla Shareef and seconded by Funadhoo Constituency member Mohamed Mamdooh.
