Summary
Today's meeting was held to discuss the issues submitted to the committee. The letters requesting to meet the committee were discussed and the dates of the meetings were fixed.
The Children’s Ombudspersons’s Office has requested to meet the committee along with foreign participants in the Child Rights Symposium on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, and Member for Kudahuvadhoo Constituency, Hussain Hameed proposed to hold the meeting accordingly without conflicting with the budget debate and this was supported by Member for South Kulhudhuffushi Constituency, Faruhath Mohamed.
The Committee also discussed letters received by the Committee regarding the Child Rights Symposium to be conducted by the Children's Ombudsperson's Office.
The Committee then proceeded to discuss the confidential letter received by the Committee regarding the Children's Ombudsperson's Office. The committee decided to keep the discussions confidential.
