Summary
Today the committee reviewed the approval requests from the President for the appointed ministers to the cabinet on 26th December 2024, as per article 129 (a) of the constitution. Once the Chairman opened the floor for members, Central Fuvahmulah Constituency Member Ali Fazaad proposed to approve the 4 ministers appointed by the President as the “Qualifications of Ministers” stated in article 130 of the Constitution of Maldives were fulfilled and none of the cabinet ministers has violated any of the “Restrictions” stated in article 136 of the constitution. And it was seconded by West Henveyru Constituency Member Ali Ibrahim.
Then, the members present in the meeting unanimously passed the proposal to give approval for the 4 ministers appointed by the President on 26th December 2024.
After that, when the floor was opened for any issue that the members want to raise, South Hulhumale' Constituency Member Dr. Ahmed Shamheed proposed to summon Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation to clarify about the registration of vehicles and the policies formulated under the mandate of the Ministry. This proposal was seconded by West Henveyru Constituency Member Ali Ibrahim.
Then, the members present in the meeting unanimously passed the proposal to meet the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation to clarify about the registration of vehicles and the policies formulated under the mandate of the Ministry.
