Summary
In today’s meeting, the committee discussed the on-going investigation of smuggling cigarette cartons in one of the vessels of The HAWKS pvt ltd. Upon examining this issue, it came to the attention of the committee that "the issue of establishing bonded warehouses in individual houses of Male' City area and the disappearance of cigarettes from one of those bonded warehouses", therefore the committee decided to examine the two cases as separate issues instead. After discussions among the members, MP Mohamed Nazim of North Maafannu Constituency proposed and MP Ahmed Nazim of Dhiggaru Constituency seconded to meet with Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Commissioner of Police and Commissioner General of Customs to inquire about the progress of the investigation.
