Summary
The appointment of the Committee chair and Deputy chair of the committee was scheduled for today’s meeting.
Director General Shabana Rasheed presided over the election process of committee's chairperson and vice chairperson.
Funadhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Mamdhooh proposed to elect Dhiggaru Constituency Member Ahmed Nazim as the Chair of the Committee. It was seconded by Eydhafushi Constituency Member Ahmed Saleem and passed unanimously.
Funadhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Mamdhooh proposed to elect Eydhafushi Constituency Member Ahmed Saleem as the Vice Chair of the Committee. It was seconded by Eydhafushi Constituency Member Ahmed Saleem and passed unanimously.
In addition, the committee discussed how to proceed with the review of the Audit Report. The committee decided to obtain further information from Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ministry of Tourism and Environment and Maldives Police Service. Also, it was decided to summon Attorney General and Prosecutor General to the next committee meeting.
