Summary

The first on the agenda for this meeting was to extend the deadline of the Bill on the Amendment to the Maldives Higher Education and Training Act (7/2021). When the floor was opened, MP Saudulla Hilmy of North Thinadhoo Constituency proposed, and MP Azim Abdul Azeez of Vilingili Constituency seconded to extend the deadline of the bill to 30th April 2025. Second on the agenda was to review the issue sent by MP Mohamed Ibrahim of North Galolhu Constituency which sought to analyze the current state of the artistic work of Feyli weaving in the Maldives and how it can be carried out. After discussions among the members, MP Saudulla Hilmy of North Thinadhoo Constituency proposed, and MP Hussain Sameer of Thoddoo Constituency seconded for the committee to meet with Mr. Ibrahim Abubakurufulhu, who has carried up the work of Feyli weaving until now, along with the relevant institutions regarding this matter to discuss about the work of Feyli weawing.

This proposal was unanimously passed by the members who attended and voted.
