In today's meeting, the committee reviewed the issue sent to the committee on the 10th sitting of the 2025 1st session of the Parliament held on March 3, 2025.
South Maafannu Constituency Member Abulla Rifau proposed to set a deadline of March 10, 2025, for the completion of reviewing this issue and Since the appointee has already been appointed as an ambassador, there is no requirement to review the record or hold an interview with the appointee. It was seconded by Vilingili Constituency Member Azim Abdul Azeez. The proposal was passed unanimously.
In addition, there was a discussion among the members about the letter sent by an individual. After discussing the letter written by him, North Kulhudhuffushi Constituency Member Mohamed Dhawoodh proposed to get more details regarding the issue from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was seconded by South Maafannu Constituency member Abdulla Rifau. (It was approved without a vote as neither of the committee members objected to it.)
