Summary

In this meeting, the Committee discussed a letter received from Dhidhdhoo Constituency member Abdul Latheef Mohamed proposing to recommend the President to the dismissal of Deputy Governor of Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) Mr. Ahmed Imad from the post. Kelaa Constituency member Abdulla Shareef proposed to send this issue to the Parliament Floor. It was seconded by North Henveyru Constituency member Ahmed Aifan and passed by the majority.


Furthermore, South Hulhumale’ Constituency member Dr. Ahmed Shamheed proposed to obtain information from Maldives Monetary Authority regarding any decision taken by the Authority to purchase any land from Hulhumale’, how finance was raised to purchase the land and the price of purchasing the land. It was seconded by Hanimaadhoo Constituency member Abdul Gafoor but not passed by the committee vote.
