Summary
In accordance with Section 151 of the Standing Order of the People’s Majlis, the Petition Committee’s Deputy Chair, North Henveyru Constituency Member Ahmed Aifan, was reassigned to another Committee. Consequently, the committee proceeded with the election of a new Deputy Chair.
Dhidhdhoo Constituency Member Abdul Latheef Mohamed’s name was proposed as the Deputy Chair of the committee by Madaveli Constituency Member Mohamed Shameez and it was seconded by Hinnavaru Constituency Member Mohamed Abdul Rahman.
The proposal was put to a vote and Dhidhdhoo Constituency Member Abdul Latheef Mohamed was elected as the Deputy chair of the Committee unanimously by the members present.
