Summary

In today's meeting, the committee reviewed the issue sent for approval of Mohamed Anas (Dheliyage/GA.Dhevadhoo) as the Chairman of the Privatization and Corporatization Board, as per Article 9 (a) and (b) of Act No: 3/2013 (Privatization and Corporatization Act).


Committee Chairperson Baarashu constituency member Ibrahim Shujau proposed to appoint a staff panel under Article 157 of the Standing Order of majlis to verify if the appointee meets the qualifications for the position. It was seconded by South Fuvahmulah Constituency Member Ibrahim Hussain and was passed unanimously.


Then the committee decided 16th April 2025 as the deadline for the above-mentioned issue, as proposed by South Feydhoo constituency member Ibrahim Didi and seconded by Faresmaathodaa constituency member Ashraf Rasheed. This proposal was also passed unanimously.
