Summary

In today’s meeting, Committee discussed regarding the amendment bill on Law No 30/2015 (Maldives Sports Act).


West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to bring the changes proposed by the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation to the Section 4-1 (c) of the bill. It was seconded by Kaashidhoo Constituency Member Munthazim Ibrahim. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.


Next, West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to bring the changes proposed by the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation to the Section 5-1 (a) of the bill. It was seconded by Dhaandhoo Constituency Member, Mohamed Fazeel , and was passed by a majority of the members present at the time of voting.


Lastly, West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to continue the discussion on the bill in the presence of personnel from the Attorney General’s Office. The proposal was seconded by the Member for Dhaandhoo Constituency, Mohamed Fazeel. It was passed unanimously by the members present.
