Summary
In today's meeting, the committee reviewed the following issues sent to the committee on the 19th sitting of the 1st session for the year 2025, the Parliament held on April 14, 2025.
- The issue sent by the President on the matter of appointment of the Ambassador to Federal Republic of Germany, Aishath Shaan Shakir, G.Penzeemaage 1, as the Non-Resident Ambassador to Kingdom of Sweden.
- The issue sent by the President on the matter of appointment of the Ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Masood Imad, M.Thulhaagiri, as the Non-Resident Ambassador to Republic of Seychelles; and
- The issue sent by the President on the matter of appointment of Permanent Representative of the Republic of Maldives to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland, Dr. Salma Rasheed, M.Vilaadhashuge, as the Non-Resident Ambassador to Republic of Austria.
North Kulhudhuffushi Constituency Member Mohamed Dawoodh proposed to appoint the Ambassador to Federal Republic of Germany, Aishath Shaan Shakir, G.Penzeemaage 1, as the Non-Resident Ambassador to Kingdom of Sweden, the Ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Masood Imad, M.Thulhaagiri, as the Non-Resident Ambassador to Republic of Seychelles, and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Maldives to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland, Dr. Salma Rasheed, M.Vilaadhashuge, as the Non-Resident Ambassador to Republic of Austria. It was seconded by Vilingili Constituency Member Azim Abdul Azeez. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
