Summary
In today’s meeting, the Committee discussed the information received from Maldives Police Service regarding the issue submitted to the committee by North Galolhu Constituency member Mohamed Ibrahim stating that Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology, and Maldives Police Service has not responded to the letters sent by the member. Following the discussions, two proposals were proposed to the committee.
1. Milandhoo Constituency member Hassan Mufeed Abdul Gadir proposed to inform the member about the response from Maldives Police Station. It was seconded by Makunudhoo Constituency member Adam Shafeeq.
2. Maavashu Constitueny member Ahmed Shakir proposed and Kin’bidhoo Constituency member Ali Ashraq seconded to meet with Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology and Maldives Police Service to discuss regarding the delays in replying to the letters.
It was decided by the majority of the committee to inform the member that the response from Maldives Police Service states that the mentioned letter was given a respond on 11th February 2025 and the reasoning for the delay mentioned.
