Summary
-In today’s meeting, the committee reviewed Immigration Act Amendment Bill. The committee discussed the comments received from stakeholders and decided to amend the first provision of the bill as per the amendment proposed by Maldives Immigration.
Furthermore, the committee considered including a conditional provision in the bill. It was decided that the committee would discuss with Attorney General’s Office for their opinion before finalizing the bill.
