Summary
In today’s meeting, the Committee discussed the questions submitted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN Resident Representative concerning the decentralization system. After deliberation, the Committee decided to make a final decision once the Secretariat provides the relevant information and statistical data.
Following that, the Committee discussed regarding an invitation received by the committee to meet with Kiribati’s Parliamentary Select Committee on Revenue Generation Initiatives for Island Councils during their visit to the Maldives. The Committee decided to hold the meeting on 17 May 2025.
