Summary
In today’s meeting, the Committee discussed the amendment bill on Law No 30/2015 (Maldives Sports Act). The bill was passed by the committee with the following amendments to it.
1. West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to amend Section 4 of the Act. This proposal was seconded by Dhaandhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Fazeel. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
2. West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to amend Section 12 of the Act. This proposal was seconded by South Thinadhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Alsan Ahmed. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
3. West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to amend Section 13(k) of the Act. This proposal was seconded by Dhaandhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Fazeel. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
4. West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to amend Section 13(r) of the Act. This proposal was seconded by Dhaandhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Fazeel. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
5. West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to amend Section 18 of the Act. This proposal was seconded by Dhaandhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Fazeel. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
6. West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to amend Section 4-1 (d) of the Act. This proposal was seconded by Kaashidhoo Constituency Member Munthazim Ibrahim. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
7. West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to amend Section 54 of the Act. This proposal was seconded by Kaashidhoo Constituency Member Munthazim Ibrahim. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
8. West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim proposed to pass the whole bill with the amendments. This proposal was seconded by Kaashidhoo Constituency Member Munthazim Ibrahim. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
