Summary
In today’s meeting, the Committee first reviewed the Petition submitted by the Civil Employees of the Maldives Correctional Service. Following deliberations based on the previous meeting held with the Maldives Correctional Service, Madaveli Constituency Member Mohamed Shameez proposed sending a letter to the Ministry of Finance and Planning to seek further clarification on the issues raised in the Petition. This proposal was seconded by Dhidhdhoo Constituency Member Abdul Latheef Mohamed.
The motion was unanimously passed by the members present at the meeting.
Then the Committee reviewed the Petition for negligence in receiving statutory benefits for children with disabilities. After deliberations Vaikaradhoo Constituency Member Hussain Ziyad proposed holding a meeting with the Disability Council of Maldives and conducting further investigations into the matter. This proposal was seconded by Madaveli Constituency Member Mohamed Shameez.
The motion was unanimously passed by the members present at the meeting.
