Summary
In today’s meeting, the members reviewed the issue sent to allocate the length of the debate on 2 reports submitted by the Judiciary Committee.
The reports are as follows:
- The report by Judiciary Committee, on removal of Supreme Court Judge, Dr. Azmiralda Zahir;
- The report by Judiciary Committee, on removal of Supreme Court Judge, Dr. Mahaz Ali Zahir.
After discussing the above-mentioned issues, Holhudhoo Constituency Member Abdul Sattar Mohamed proposed to give a total of 1 hour for each report, and this time duration to be given to the respective political parties and independent members equally, accordance to the rules laid in the s.110 (b) of the Standing Order of People’s Majlis. This was seconded by Isdhoo Constituency Member Ismail Shafeeu and was passed by a majority of the members present and voting in the committee.
