In today's meeting, a letter received from National Integrity Commission seeking the opinion regarding the retirement benefit of their members was discussed. The committee decided to inform the commission that the committee is currently reviewing the issue of benefits provided outside the Pension Act.

Information received from Local Government Authority and Anti-Corruption Commission regarding the issue of land leased to The Hawks Private Limited for oil business in HA. Hoarafushi was discussed among the members. The committee decided to request the Anti-Corruption Commission to send the findings once the investigation is completed and to request the Local Government Authority to further look into the issue and take action against those who have neglected.

Annual Report of Maldives Monetary Authority for the year 2024 was discussed, and the committee decided to further analyze the report with a summary of the report.

Reports received from KPMG after performing the audit of Auditor General’s Office for the year 2024 was discussed. The committee decided to conduct a meeting with Auditor General’s Office to discuss the Report on the review of Annual Performance Report.

A letter received from Judicial Service Commission seeking the opinion regarding the amendments to the Judges Retirement Regulation was discussed.

Copy of the letter from Ministry of Tourism and Environment to Fenaka Corporation Limited regarding the delay in performing the audit of the corporation for the year 2022 and 2023 was discussed and the committee decided to conduct a meeting with the Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation Limited to question the reasons for the delay.

Furthermore, the committee decided to sit with Housing Development Corporation to discuss the implementation of the recommendations provided on the committee report issued after reviewing the issue of pending rent collections to the corporation for the lands and buildings leased out for business purposes.
