Foreign Relations Committee's 22nd Meeting of 2025.

Summary

 

In today's meeting, the committee reviewed the public letter sent by the General-Purpose Committee on June 24, 2025. South Maafannu Constituency Member Abdulla Rifau proposed sending a letter requesting more information about the matter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This was seconded by Villigili Constituency Member Azim Abdul Azeez and was passed unanimously by the members present.

 

Next, the committee reviewed the 2024 annual reports of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and 20 missions under the Ministry. South Fuvahmulah Constituency Member Ibrahim Hussain proposed setting the deadline for reviewing the said reports on February 16, 2026, by the main committee. It was seconded by Villigili Constituency Member Azim Abdul Azeez. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.

 

Lastly, the committee reviewed the letter sent by the People’s Majlis Secretariat regarding the meeting request from the Türkiye Grand National Assembly on June 30, 2025. The committee requested to make the necessary arrangements.
