Summary


In today’s meeting, Committee decided the following regarding the two bills in the Committee.

1.  Bill on amendment to the Attorney General's Office Act (No. 8/2025) – Committee set the deadline of the bill as 31st July 2025 and deadline for public announcement regarding this Bill as 17the July 2025.

(This was proposed by Huraa Constituency Member Dr. Anara Naeem and seconded by Faresmaathoda Constituency Member Ashraf Rasheed)

2.  Bill on amendment to the Judges Act (No.13/2010) – Committee set the deadline of the bill as 17th July 2025 and deadline for public announcement regarding this Bill as 10th July 2025.

(This was proposed by Huraa Constituency Member Dr. Anara Naeem and seconded by North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar)

Both proposals were passed unanimously.

Committee also decided to send for comments from related institutions regarding the Bill on amendment to the Judges Act (No.13/2010)
