Summary
Today's meeting was held to discuss the Anti-Torture Reports for the years, 2023 and 2024 with the officials of Human Rights Commission of the Maldives.
The Commission presented a presentation highlighting the key findings of the Anti-Torture Reports. In this presentation, the Commission shared with the Committee its programs under the Anti-Torture Act, its past and ongoing work under the Anti-Torture Act, the types and extent of cases investigated so far, and the challenges faced in investigating and implementing the Act.
