Summary

In today's meeting, the committee sat with delegates from Maldives Monetary Authority to discuss the concerns regarding the dollar crisis in the Maldives and the efforts of the Authority to mitigate them. Hanimaadhoo Constituency member Abdul Gafoor Moosa proposed to continue the meeting as an open meeting and make confidential on the necessary discussions, which was seconded by South Hulhumale’ Constituency member Dr. Ahmed Shamheed, but failed to pass by the committee vote.

Funadhoo Constituency member Mohamed Mamdooh proposed to conduct the meeting as a confidential meeting as per the request of the Authority. The proposal was seconded by North Henveyru member Ahmed Aifan and passed by the majority.
