Summary

In this meeting committee discussed the deadline for completion of the review of the Bill on amendment to the Tax Administration Act (No. 3/2010) and how to proceed with the review of the bill. In this regard, Hoarafushi constituency member Ali Moosa proposed to set 14th August 2025 as a deadline to complete the review of the bill and to open for public comments and written comments from relevant stakeholders till 11th August 2025 and it was seconded by Central Mahchangolhi Constituency member Ahmed Xamyr. Furthermore, in this meeting Hoarafushi constituency member Ali Moosa proposed to set 14th August 2025 as a deadline to complete the review of the matter referred by The President for the appointment of 4 members to the Board of the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority in accordance with section 4 (b)(2) of Tax Administration Act (No. 3/2010) and  to allow the public to file complaints for the candidates and proposed to interview the candidates on 11th August 2025 and it was seconded by Kurendhoo Constituency member Mohamed Shamin Habeeb.
