Summary

The committee discussed the Audit Report on the total cost for each housing unit within the 7,000 social housing unit project and the associated monthly fees. As proposed by Kelaa Constituency member Abdulla Shareef and seconded by North Henveyru Constituency member Ahmed Aifan, the committee decided to send a report to the main committee with the issues highlighted in the audit report along with the comments of HDC and the recommendations of the committee. The proposal was passed unanimously.

 

Furthermore, as proposed by Kelaa Constituency member Abdulla Shareef and seconded by North Henveyru Constituency member Ahmed Aifan, the committee unanimously passed to file the below mentioned audit reports as the reports were given an unqualified opinion by the Auditor General.

1.  Audit Reports of Kulhudhuffushi Harbour Expansion Project for the year 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

2.  Audit Report on Covid-19 Emergency Response Project (Grant MLD-0687)

3.  Audit Report on Covid-19 Emergency Response Project (Grant MLD-0716)

4.  Compliance audit report on spending by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the first two quarters of 2020 related to Covid-19.

5.  Compliance Audit Report on Covid-19 related expenses of Maldives National Defense Force.

6.  Compliance audit report on Covid-19 related expenses incurred by the Maldives National Defense Force in the third quarter of 2020.

7.  Compliance audit report on expenses related to Covid-19 incurred by the Maldives Police Service in 2020.

Compliance audit report on allowances given to frontline workers during the Covid-19 crisis.
