In today’s meeting, Zakath Bill was discussed in detail. West Maafannu Constituency Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim Member proposed the following actions regarding the Bill.
1. Set the deadline for the bill as 20th October 2025.
2. Allocate a 7-day period for the public announcement for public comments on the Bill.
3. Send letters to Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Planning and Maldives Inland Revenue Authority requesting their comments on the Bill.
