Summary
In today’s meeting, the committee reviewed the reply sent by the Independent Institutions Committee of the Parliament. Madaveli Constituency Member Mohamed Shameez proposed to conclude the works of the petition calling for the withdrawal of Maldives Media and Broadcasting Regulation Bill, as the letter sent by the Independent Institutions Committee of the Parliament mentioned that the concerns raised in the petition were addressed during the bill review process. This was seconded by Hinnavaru Constituency Member Mohamed Abdul Rahmaan and was passed by the majority of the members present.
