Summary
At today's meeting, as no committee members present objected to the proposal by South Hulhumale' Constituency member Dr. Ahmed Shamheed, to send letters to the Attorney General's Office and the Auditor General's Office seeking their written opinions regarding the amendments proposed to the Act No: 4/2007 (Audit Act) and Act No: 3/2013 (Privatization, Corporatization, Monitoring and Evaluation Act), the Chair made the decision accordingly.
Subsequently, discussions were held regarding how to proceed with the resolution calling for expedited investigation upon corruption cases identified in the Fenaka Corporation Limited's Special Audit Report by the Auditor General's Office. As no committee members present objected, the Chair decided to proceed with the special audit reports issued by the Auditor General's Office regarding Fenaka Corporation Limited alongside the resolution work, setting the deadline for completing the resolution work to the end of this month. In addition, committee decided to meet with Auditor General’s Office and Fenaka Corporation Limited regarding these audits.
After the Chair decided to discuss the remaining agenda items at the next committee meeting, today's committee meeting was concluded.
