Summary
In today's meeting, the committee interviewed Dr. Aishath Rameela nominated by the President for the appointment of a member to the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives.
Following the interview, the committee members awarded marks to the candidate as per the criteria passed by the General Purpose Committee. Dr. Aishath Rameela received 75% and above marks as she received 90% marks. Therefore, Nilandhoo Constituency Member Fathimath Sauda proposed to appoint Dr. Aishath Rameela as a member of the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives. This proposal was seconded by South Maafannu Constituency Member Abdulla Rifau.
