Summary
The appointment of the Committee chair and Deputy chair of the committee was scheduled for today’s meeting. Legal Officer Ahmed Suhan presided over the election process of committee's chairperson and vice chairperson. Upon opening the floor for nominations for the Chair of the Committee, Central Hithadhoo Constituency Member Ahmed Azaan Marzooq proposed to elect Dhiggaru Constituency Member Ahmed Nazim as the Chair of the Committee. It was seconded by Funadhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Mamdooh. Next, the floor was opened for the nominations for the Vice Chair of the Committee. South Hulhumale' Constituency Member Dr. Ahmed Shamheed proposed to elect Funadhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Mamdooh as the Vice Chair of the Committee. It was seconded by Central Hithadhoo Constituency Member Ahmed Azaan Marzooq. This proposal was passed unanimously, and Funadhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Mamdooh was elected as the Deputy Chair of the committee.The voting details for this proposal are on “Votes” section of this page.
In addition, the members discussed how to proceed with the audit reports. Accordingly, they discussed compiling a preliminary report before the end of the current term, which would include the recommendations the committee can currently provide regarding the audit reports.
