Summary

In today’s meeting, Committee met with the officials from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to discuss Zakath Bill.


Next, the Committee discussed the bill on amendment to the Thalassemia Control Act (no. 4/2012). After the discussion, the following amendments were brought to the bill.

  1. Nilandhoo Constituency Member Fathimath Sauda proposed to add two subsection at the end of section 13 of the bill. This proposal was seconded by Komandoo Constituency Member Mohamed Ibrahim. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
  2. Nilandhoo Constituency Member Fathimath Sauda proposed to amend section 23 of the bill. This proposal was seconded by South Thinadhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Alsan Ahmed. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
