Summary
In today's meeting, discussions were held with the Minister of Finance and Planning regarding the proposed budget for the year 2026. During the meeting Minister has clarified information about the budget. In this regard, the Minister highlighted that budget expenditures have been streamlined based on projected revenue, and that a framework will be established in collaboration with State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and Auditor General to recover outstanding funds due to the government and reduce expenses, implementing a better system than the current system. Furthermore, the Minister also noted that the debt-to-GDP ratio is expected to decrease by 2% by 2028, and the inflation rate is projected to remain at 1.1% in the year 2026.
