Budget Committee
15 Nov 2025 Number M20/M/BGT/2025/10
In this meeting, discussions were held with officials from the Civil Service Commission regarding the Commission’s proposed budget for 2026. The Commission noted that the budget currently allocated to the commission by the Ministry of Finance and Planning is insufficient to fulfill their responsibilities mandated by Act No 5/2007 (Civil Service Act). In addition, Commission highlighted the need for additional budget to strengthen the administration of the Civil Service Commission, conduct training and professional development programs, inspect and audit civil service institutions, and carry out recruitment for the posts of Secretary Generals and Permanent Secretaries in connection with the local council elections, in addition to conducting induction programs.
