Summary
During today's meeting, the committee reviewed a proposal submitted by North Galolhu constituency member Mohamed Ibrahim, requesting summon the relevant officials from Malé Water and Sewerage Company Private Limited to the committee to investigate a recurring issue. The issue highlighted that during periods of heavy rainfall which cause flooding on the streets of Malé, it has become common for sewage to leak onto the streets from sewage junctions. Subsequently, Faresmaathodaa constituency member Ashraf Rasheed proposed to share the information received from the company regarding this matter with the member who submitted the proposal. This proposal was seconded by South Fuvahmulah constituency member Ibrahim Hussain and passed unanimously.
Then, the special review report of Fenaka Corporation Limited conducted as part of the special review program initiated by the Privatization and Corporatization Board concerning the management of state-owned enterprises was examined. In this regard, to clarify the measures taken by Fenaka Corporation Limited in response to the report Gadhdhoo constituency member Mohamed Ali, proposed to summon the members of the company's Board and management to the committee. The proposal was seconded by Kinbidhoo Constituency Member Ali Ashrag and passed unanimously.
Furthermore, a report submitted by North Galolhu constituency member Mohamed Ibrahim requesting to review an issue related to Maldives Post Limited was discussed. As the report was submitted as confidential information, Thoddoo Constituency member Hussain Sameer proposed to continue the discussions as confidential meeting. This proposal was seconded by South Fuvahmulah constituency member Ibrahim Hussain and passed unanimously.
