A letter received from National Integrity Commission asking for an opinion on paying the members for the annual leave days they are entitled to at the end of their term was discussed. As proposed by Dhiggaru Consituency member Ahmed Nazim and seconded by Funadhoo Constituency member Mohamed Mamdooh, the committee unanimously decided to inform the commission to bring to a halt paying any allowance that was not passed by the Parliament and that the committee will consider the issue during the next reviewal of the salaries and allowances. The committee discussed appointing an audit firm to perform the audit of Auditor General’s Office for the year 2025. As proposed by Hanimaadhoo Constituency member Abdul Gafoor Moosa and seconded by Kelaa Constituency member Abdulla Shareef, the committee unanimously passed to handover the committee secretariat to complete the announcement and other administrative works related to the appointment. Furthermore, the Quarterly Debt Bulleting for 3rd Quarter for the year 2025 and the paperwork related to the guarantee given for the overdraft financing agreement between State Trading Organization (STO) and State Bank of India (SBI) received from Ministry of Finance and Planning was shared with the members.
